Our residents viewed the queen's funeral with members of staff and family and they watched intensely with interest. Staff maintained a presence during the service to make sure that residents did not get upset or confused by what was happening. Staff made the day as informative as possible and made the day more about a life worth lived and the good that was done by the queen and royal family. Residents took part in activities regarding the queen, so it was more orientated by nostalgia than sadness. Then on Wednesday they had a visit from a friendly spaniel called goose. He is loved by the whole of Burlington residents and staff and as you can see by the pictures it was cuddles all round.
